MEET THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Curriculum Coordinator & Kindergarten Teacher

 

Sheena Gordon, a native of Dallas enjoys spending time with her husband Jay & daughter Remi Jane, playing sports, dancing, eating food, and travelling the world. She comes to Dar-Lings Learning Center with a wide range of experiences in children and youth programming. Sheena received her Master’s in Church Ministries with a focus on Urban Ministry and Christian Education. She completed her undergraduate studies at Texas College and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology with a minor in Social work. Sheena began her career in mentoring young people in 2008 through various capacities. Sheena has served as a director of after school programs and summer camps, lead teacher in early childhood education (toddler-kindergarten), director of children and youth programs, nursery teacher, and more. Sheena’s favorite thing about teaching is she loves being a part of a child’s life journey and seeing their face light up when they discover new things. Her favorite children’s book is Pete the Cat; because IT’S ALL GOOD! She feels blessed and is extremely thankful for the opportunity to serve the children and families at Dar-Lings.

MEET MS. JOSELYN

Infant Teacher

 

Hello! My name is Joselyn. I am beginning my career in early childhood education and I am excited for the adventure with Dar-Lings Learning Center. I am the Assistant Infant Teacher and enjoy all the love I receive from each child. I have experience helping raise my siblings, nieces, and nephews. I am currently in college pursing a degree in higher education. I love caring for children and teaching them new things.

                                                                   

MEET MS. LEATRICE

Toddler Teacher

 

Hi, my name is Leatrice Hickman and I’m very excited to be a teacher at Dar-Lings Learning Center. I have taught and worked with children for over 5 years. I always enjoyed helping others learn and grow. I studied Child Development at Brookhaven College. I have attended many trainings and courses in which I received my Child Development Associate. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my daughters, baking & cooking, and traveling different areas of the world!

 

                                                                     

                                                                    

MEET MS. KASHIRA

Lead Infant Teacher

 

I am KaShira Watts from Temple, Texas. I am married with three amazing children. We are a fun, outgoing, sporty, outdoor, close knit family. I have been taking care of children since I was ten years old and I love kids and they love me. I will always treat your child as if he/she is my own. My background is more than five years with early childhood education. I believe that early childhood education is the core to where you start a good foundation on who each child will grow up to be and how they act in our society. In my class I love to teach children right from wrong, ABC’s, colors, words, manners, respect, and handwashing.

MEET MS. MUTKI

Preschool Teacher

 

I am Ms. Mukti the preschool teacher at Dar-Lings Learning Center. I have been here for 8 years and love this school! I am an energetic, fun loving and passionate teacher. I love to keep the kids involved in group activities and provide enhancements to our curriculum with my creativity. For fun I enjoy arts and craft, sewing, and spending time with my family. 

 

  

 

 

 

MEET MS. JENNY

Cook & Nutritionist

 

My name is Jennifer! I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I currently reside in Carrolton with my daughter. I have 15 years of experience in management. My educational background is Medical Office Specialist. In addition, I have a certification in nutrition for children and adults. For fun I love to cook, exercise, paint, and do arts & crafts with my little one. MEET MS. TARA

School-Aged Teacher & Food Manager

 

Hi, my name is Tara Bunch. I am originally from West Palm Beach, Florida and moved to Dallas, TX 10 years ago. I am excited to start my journey with Dar-Lings Learning Center. I have a 13 year old daughter, a 3 year old son, a cat Timmy, and my dog Daisey. I am currently finishing my degree at College of HealthCare Professionals. I have experience working with the infants, toddlers, and 2’s. My goals for my classroom is to teach, let the infants experience their surroundings through love and fun activities, and provide exceptional care.  When I’m not teaching I love spending time with my family, cooking, and reading.

 

                                                                    

 

MEET MS. WARISHA

Floater Teacher

 

I am Warisha, born in Pakistan. I moved to Dallas, Texas when I was eleven years old. I have a passion to make a difference in the lives of children and adults. I’m currently in school studying Health Care and one day hope to become a dietician. My goal is to inspire children to attain whatever goals they may have. In my class I love having circle-time with the children. We “popcorn” read in a circle and I enjoy discovering the stories in books. For fun I love to workout.

 

About the Director and Medical Director

Farah Naz is a board certified pediatrician in private practice in Carrollton since 2001. She is on staff at Baylor Medical Center of Carrollton (formerly Trinity Medical Center) and Presbyterian Hospital of Plano.

She did her internship at University Of Missouri-Columbia and completed her residency at Atlantic Health System, New Jersey. She worked as a Pediatrics ER physician for almost 2 years before moving to Plano. Since then she is settled in Plano with her husband and 2 children.

Her primary interest is DEVELOPMENTAL PEDIATRICS, including speech, gross and fine motor, behavior and learning disabilities. She has a courteous and qualified team who are dedicated to provide quality care to OUR little ones. We have same day appointments for any acute sickness and within 1-2 weeks for well exams. Waiting time is kept to a minimum, and we do our best to satisfy our client’s needs.

We welcome our patients from 8AM to 5PM, Mon-Thurs and 8AM until 3pm on Fridays.

Our entire team strives to provide quality and efficient pediatrics care in a loving and friendly environment.
